It’s good to be back…

Posted in Uncategorized with tags on June 14, 2008 by timberwolf28

Hello to my friends out there in blog land. I must apologise for my absence and explain.

My ISP took it upon themselves to determine that I had exceeded my bandwidth and for that I was taken off the air. Now, however, much chagrined and abashed I am ever humbled and will try not to exceed my bandwidth allocation again.

So, once more I am able to be among you and I will endeavour to keep my blog more current than has previously been the case.

I would like to ask the question though, how many of you have suffered my recent ISP fate?

Leave a comment and let me (and the world) know.

Thanks for dropping by and hope to see you again soon.

I wrote a short story

I wrote a short story in 2005. I didn’t know what to do with it and my wife suggested that I put it on the Internet for others to enjoy. So, if you’re interested in reading Transference then click on the link below.

The Akashic Records

Posted in Metaphysical with tags , , , , , , , on April 24, 2008 by timberwolf28

Travelling to the Hall of Records

My first introduction to the Akashic Records was through a book I read many years ago. It was a work of science fiction. The book was called the ‘Eternity Stone’ by Aden & Mary Romine. I followed this up a few years later by reading ‘The Lodestone’ by W.A. Harbinson.

Believe it or not (as Mr Ripley would say), these books are very difficult to source. I still have my copies and for whatever reason, have never felt the urge to surrender them to the book depot. Another book that touches on these records is a book, part three in a trilogy, by Australian author Traci Harding titled the ‘Cosmic Logos’.

So what are these records?

The Akashic Records are said to be the library of all possible combinations of events and responses to those events as they concern conscious beings in all realities. Every form of living entity contributes to and is able to access these records. It is thought that any sentient being can become the physical medium for accessing the Akashic Records.

This is accomplished via various methods and spiritual regimes. For example, you may attain access through yogia, meditation or visualization. These, among other techniques may be employed to reach the necessary state of focus to access the Records.

Does the name ‘Akashic’ Records mean anything?

The name of Akashic records is derived from the Sanskrit word Akasha, meaning “sky”, “space” or “aether”. The term was used by Theosophists to denote a theory concerning a library of mystical knowledge encoded on a non-physical plane of existence. They are said to contain all knowledge and human experience in the Universe. The Akashic Records can be likened to a library, a universal type of super computer or the ‘Mind of God’.

According to the information currently held on these records, it is said that they are constantly updated. This concept originated in the Theosophical movements that flourished during the 19th Century. Movements such as The Golden Dawn and H.P. Blavatsky’s Theosophical Society. Many of these societies remain active in today’s society delivering information on the New Age return to ancient beliefs.

Believers and Skeptics

Believers:

Belief in the existence of the Akashic Records is widespread throughout many ancient cultures although they may not have referred to them by the same name. However, no matter the label or description, it appears that ancient cultures knew of and consulted these records.

Believers have made many claims about the Akasha and how to use them or access them. These include:
- that the Hindu Veda and the Sanskrit language of itself were derived from the Akashic Records.
- in ancient Egypt, those who could access the Akashic Records were held in high standing and advised the Pharaohs.
- Druidic priests in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England were said to demonstrate the ability to access the Akasha.
- the Akashic records appear in the Bible in various passages namely: Old Testament Psalm 69:28; the New Testament in Philippians 4:3 and various parts of Revelations (3:5, 13:8, 17:8, 20:12, 20:15 and 21:27. (refernce is “book of life.”)

Among those individuals who claim to have consciously accessed the Akashic Records include: Charles Webster Leadbeater, Annie Besant, Alice Bailey, Samael Aun Weor, William Lilly, Manly P. Hall, Lilian Treemont, Dion Fortune, George Hunt Williamson, Rudolf Steiner, Max Heindel, and Edgar Cayce.

Skeptics:

Despite the claims made by those who believe in the Records, there are no direct references to the Akasha in any of the historical documentation of the groups mentioned above.

Historically, the scientific community, has rejected these theories due to a lack of any independently verifiable evidence. Generally the Records are not even recognized within the specified religious traditions concerned. It is acknowledged that spedific groups or individuals may hold such a belief. An example would be Ervin László, a philosopher who championed the theory of the Records. He felt that they were the key to resolving many anomalies in history and science.

Save the Timberwolf

A Stumble Upon friend of mine sent me this information about the Timberwolf today.

“This very day, Wisconsin Dept of Natural Resources is conducting hearings on making the Timberwolf a species subject to hunting in certain Wisconsin zones. Farmers with cattle are in favor; ‘environmentalists’ are against it.

They say it will be a long time before it is approved, if ever, I hope it will be a very long time.

Those of you who call past my pages, I would ask you that you leave a comment in support of the Timberwolf.

Extract from a book I am writing

I would love some feedback on this excerpt from a serialised story I am writing. Please read and comment…

Fortunately, Ethan had a lot of the circuitry already in place for his new machine. He had been working on a time dilation device that didn’t quite work. The framework was all still in place and the Tesla coil was primed and ready to go. It didn’t take long for the conversion of the inoperative time dilation device to commence. Ethan worked tirelessly through the afternoon and into the evening. He started to get a little delirious towards late evening as he had not yet eaten.

Some of his wiring connections did not quite go where the wiring diagram indicated they should and Ethan didn’t notice. When he had finished his work, he stepped back and looked at his newest invention. It looked a bit like a telephone booth, without the glass of course. Inside it had a digital keypad and there were plates above and below the area where an object or person would stand. There were wires coming out the top that appeared to be leading nowhere at all and yet others that appeared to bury themselves into the garage floor. Ethan looked at his teleportation device and grinned madly.

He went back into the house and finally fed himself. Then as he was heading back to the garage he remembered that he had to take something to teleport. Grabbing an apple he rushed back to the garage and got back to work. He went straight over to his generator and got it started. Then he plugged in the capacitor that would store the electrical charge for the Tesla coil. After this he went and checked the tuning frequency on his teleportation machine and set it to 1348 megahertz to draw electrical energy from the Tesla coil.

Finishing this Ethan sent a test signal with his hand held global positioning instrument to get an exact location on the empty table top in the back section of his garage. Getting the co-ordinates he then grabbed up his DVAR (digital voice activated recorder) and started speaking. “Teleportation test number 1. Date: 22 August 2010. Time: 2315 hrs. Object of test: To teleport one apple three metres across my garage from co-ordinates 32 degrees 8 minutes 12 seconds south to 32 degrees 8 minutes 12.4 seconds south. I am placing the apple in the teleporter … now. I will now type in the destination co-ordinates for the object.” Ethan droned on and outlined each step of his experiment as he executed it.

Be honest and let me know what you think. And if you want to read more, click on the banner below…
